Dicloreen plus is a combination of two medicines: Diclofenac and Paracetamol. Diclofenac belongs to a group of medicines called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). These medicines work by blocking the action of chemical messengers responsible for pain, fever and inflammation (redness and swelling). Dicloreen plus is used to relieve pain and inflammation in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoarthritis. It may also be used to relieve muscle pain, back pain, toothache, or pain in the ear and throat. The usual dose is one tablet twice daily or as directed by your doctor. The tablet should be swallowed whole with water. Side effects are rare if this medicine is used correctly but this medicine may cause stomach pain, nausea, and vomiting in some people. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects bother you or do not go away.
